Earlier this summer my buddy Andrew and I stopped over at Gary Krebs’ place to pick up my old boat trailer. Of course we started talking about tying and Gary’s newest fly that’s been evolving over the past few years. We headed up to his tying room and I pulled out my phone for an impromptu video of the tying session. When a tying wizard like Gary starts teaching class, you pay attention.
I consider myself incredibly lucky to have been taught so much by him. From some of my first flies to casting lessons, he’s helped me with becoming a better fisherman more than almost anyone I know.
Enjoy this video. It’s not edited down for time. It’s exactly what it is. Gary teaching and explaining and a little bs’ing. The only things I’ve edited out with sound are private information and maybe a couple cool things that are in work at this time and will be public later on this year.
