The world lost a good man today. If you came to the fly tying nights at People’s Brewing Company, you met Abel. He and I put the event on for a few years before he moved to Hawaii. Abel Vander Bosch was a unique dude. He’d lose his facebook account password and have to make a new account but could tell you details about beer that would amaze you. His love for fishing was infectious. He got hooked, quite literally a few times, on fly fishing and fly tying. Many nights he and I would sit and tie flies while bullshitting about fishing or whatever crossed our brains at the time. I only knew him for a few years but felt like I’d known him much longer. He will be missed dearly.
