Months ago I got a message from Mike. Wife and I are coming to visit family in Indiana, can you get a free day to fish? Hell yes I can. I bank vacation days for just this type of activity. Mike got to town and we got to the water not long after. Some smallies were caught (you’ll have to go to his site to see them), a rockbass (a somewhat rarity lately), and a drum (another rarity). Mike’s first freshwater drum I believe. Not too shabby Indiana, not too shabby.
Mike is top notch. His casting is smooth and fluid. He makes it look easy. Lots of laughs, shared fishing stories, and the fish we did catch made that one of the best days I’ve had on the water this summer.
