I had a long drawn out rambling post written up until a few minutes ago and I deleted it. I’ll try to be short here. I got chills when I first read the last few lines of A River Runs Through It. I get the same feeling when I hear it spoken in the movie. It’s been on my mind constantly the past week or so. This morning I woke up and decided it needed to fill a void on my arm that is already dedicated to fly fishing. So here it is.
“Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world’s great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs.
I am haunted by waters.”

I found your tattoo picture just by googling fly tie tattoos. I love it. I love your love of a River Runs Through It. Thinking of getting my first tattoo of a fly tie in memory of my dad. Just wanted to say yours is inspiring and beautiful.
Elizabeth, thanks so much for your message. I would 100% agree that you should. Just remember, once you get one, you’ll want more 🙂
