Scott Bennett recently contacted me about his small business he’s started up called Bennett’s Rod Restoration. He’s restoring old bamboo and fiberglass fly rods. I thought this sounded pretty cool so I figured I’d help him spread the word. Scott rebuilds rods or fixes a single wrap on your grandfather’s rod that you want to take out and fish. His prices are reasonable from what I’ve seen as he’s trying to a buzz going for his business. He says no job is too small or too large. I love seeing old rods restored and back out on the water. There’s memories in those things. Scott also donates 3% of his profits to Project Healing Waters which is an awesome gesture on his part.
