Music Mondays: Midwest rap

Welcome to Music Mondays. I plan on using Mondays to get music out there that I love. The music might be punk rock, hip hop, bluegrass, metal, ska, or whatever makes my earholes happy.

To kick things off, here’s Vizion and Vakill. Two dudes who have more skill in their pinkies than those dudes rockin shiny suits on MTV. I’ve known Vizion since we were kids and I’ve followed his career since he released Options back in 1999. I Love You back in 2003, and Man Apart in 2006. 2011 brings us Drunk at Church. This album is the shit. I don’t know what else I can say about it. It’s been in my rotation for a few months now and I don’t see that changing any time soon.

I just got into Vakill after Vizion did a track with him (it’s the youtube video below). The dude is sick. The way he puts words together is on a level few attain. He dropped Armor of God in 2011 and it’s been one of my favorites for 2011. If I was doing an album review this would need more than 5 stars.
